British State Minister for Foreign Affairs to begin visit to Sudan (10/09/07)


The British State Minister for Foreign Affairs for African Affairs is due to begin a visit to Sudan on Monday, during which he will hold talks with Sudanese officials on a number of issues, including ways to boost the cooperation between the two countries and the assistance that can be provided by Britain to support the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
 
 

Meanwhile, the Vice-President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, received in his office the Ambassador of Britain to Sudan and discussed progress of the bilateral relations and ways to achieve common understanding on a number of issues, especially the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), realization of peace as well as the ongoing efforts to make the non signatory parties of western Sudan movements join the peace process.
