South African businessman to establish Satellite TV in Juba (05/07/07)


A South African businessman, Zwelakhe Sisulu has said he is going to establish a satellite television channel in Juba, south Sudan within the next year. Juba, after the peace agreement signed last year, is now a much more secure place to situate the station.
 
 
Speaking to the press after meeting Southern Sudan government President Salva Kiir Mayardit in Juba, Sisulu, who is also the owner of Urban Brew Studio in South Africa, said his organization will train ministers in dealing with journalists and also train journalists in television production.

Mr. Sisulu said he would move the Satellite Television Station from South Africa to Juba after training south Sudanese journalists.
